Together is Better Alliance (TiBA) Board of Directors and its dedicated volunteers work to promote reconciliation and recovery which includes:
- Facilitating screenings of documentaries (e.g. The Long Shadow), and other films or relevant information related to the history of slavery and racial inequity
- Conducting continuing conversation series in collaboration with educational, civic, faith based, corporate and other institutions committed to addressing the challenges of race in this country.
- Continued development of strategic relationships with a broad range of individuals and organizations committed to addressing the issue of race relations
- Expanding and raising awareness around the issues of racism that exist in this country through a variety of strategies, including creating a presence in several locations across the country to perform the described activities, will launch a lecture series with learned speakers on the issue of racism and its societal impact; and conduct educational tours to historically significant sites, museums, institutions, etc.

Linda Diamond Shapiro, AM, MBA, Senior Vice President of Conlon & Dunn Public Strategies, Chicago, IL, leads the Together is Better Alliance Board of Directors in strategy development.
